Kodak EasyShare V550 Review

Recent review from PCMag highlighted this EasyShare series from Kodak, the V550 model. This digital camera sports a 2.5-inch LCD with viewfinder, 5.0 megapixel sensor, 3x optical zoom, and 16MB internal memory with SD card support for additional storage. This ultra compact camera uses lithium ion battery and can take a still shoot in up to 2576 x 1932 pixels resolution. For video recording, the EasyShare V550 records the video clips in Quick Time MOV format with VGA (640×480 @ 30fps) quality. Unfortunately, according to the review, the recorded movie quality is not great.
Excerpt from the review:
The Kodak EasyShare V550 is very similar in looks and performance to its smaller, slightly less expensive brother, the V530, which is our Editors’ Choice for inexpensive ultracompacts. The V550 has a larger LCD, includes a small viewfinder, and costs about $50 more, but those are about the only differences. Whether that’s an easy sell or not depends on your shooting preferences.

I advise anyone wanting to buy a Kodak not to buy one
My mam and dad bought me a Kodak EasyShare V530 for my 16th birthday. I had only had the camera a year and a half and at Reading festival (after being fully charged) the camera kept turning on and turning straight back off. I went into the shop battery still had lots of power in it.
After reading reviews lots of people were experiencing the same problem and that it has happened with lots of Kodak Camera’s after a year so that they aren’t still under warranty.
GET FUJIFILM, really really good!
