LG KS360 has just hit the Europe market (Asia and Latin America will follow soon). Dubbed as “Messenger Phone”, this handset is aimed at young people who loves to send text message, email, and social networking. It comes with a full-QWERTY sliding keyboard with round buttons which makes it easy for customers to type text. The phone also has a large 2.4-inch (240×320) touchscreen display which is very convenient for browsing the web.
Other features included tri-band GSM connectivity with GPRS and EDGE, a 2 megapixel camera with fixed focus and video recording, music player with support for MP3, AAC, AAC+ and eAAC+, FM Radio, Bluetooth v2.0, 15MB of internal memory and microSD card support for up to 4GB.

i just got this phone today, and it’s a little beaut of a phone
couple of annoying things though, there is only two themes, and i haven’t found where to download any others yet, sometimes a bit complicated to navigate, they decided to not use the full potential of the touch screen, TS dialing is a bit cramped and awkward, the QWERTY keyboard feels cramped unlike blackberrys, and if you don’t like parkour or skateboarding, the still wallpapers are going to annoy you a bit
there are many excellent features though, for a smartphone, it feels TINY, the slide keyboard is smooth, the navigation buttons are EXACTLY in the right place, the speaker is better and clearer than most sony ericsson’s (and louder, but thats not really hard to do), the camera is really good comparing to other 2.0MP camera phones, it has a button to jump you straight into WLM or certain social networks (bebo, myspace, facebook), the moving backgrounds are done in flash and work with the phone, like if you choose one of the backgrounds with people in it, when someone sends you a text, you see one of the people light up with a number and a letter symbol next to them, you then use the keys to navigate to that person and select him to read the text, and if you like texting, it has it’s very own button to jump you straight into a text, and concidering the amount of extras, it’s really good for £80 (Orange)

So.i just bought this phone today, just3 hours after seeing it on a website, and i can honestly say that it`s better than i have imagined.
My last phone was a Lg Shine, which ran too slow (my playlist had to be loaded in 30 seconds) it supported only a 2gb card ( the Ks 360 supports 4gb) and the sound was too low. At first i was afraid this model will be the same… but fortunately Lg learned something and made this one louder, faster and for some, prettier. It is a shame tho the touchscreen cant be used all the time, but the keyboard is awsome once u get the hang of it. Another plus is the FM Radio.
Unfortunately, i couldnt find any themes to download ( maybe because the phone just hit the market), but u can store lots of pics and music if u buy a microSD card.
oh… and for Sara : thge phone plays mp3`s ,the camera is average,it has only 2.0Mp, but it is a lot more than a VGA camera, so u can use it with more success.
And no..it isnt big at all, and it can be connected to the PC ( the best thing is that u dont need to install drives, because the PC will recognise it)

Hey guy’s I got this phone yesterday after my old contract ran out…if you purchase it from Orange on a one month contract sim they will also give you £10 off the rrrp! Basically it’s a great phone, the touch screen at the moment can only be used to dial out and search the address book when the phone is closed, that could change in the future though with updates!?…
The keypad took a while to get used to but it’s smooth and the menu system is easy to get used to so no deleting messages by accident like the old LG’s…camera is excellent, sure it’s only 2MP but it’s sharp and when else do you expect from what is an excellent value for money phone…it does play mp3’s as ringtones but you will need to get an SD card (mymemory.com) as onboard memory is only 15mb…no themes at the moment but it support high res pictures so just use wall papers like on your PC for now…Gmail mobile works on it too which is awesome for using your gmail on your phone and the screen flip works great with Opera Mini for on the webb, just like on your computer at home then!
I’ld recommend it but be delicate with it, I can see it getting broken if your rough with your phones…
Oh and I forgot to mention it has MSN messenger built in although I couldn’t get it to work but that might have just been me…if you don’t have Gmail installed on your phone you can still check your email’s with it too, if you can set it up lol…comes with headphones and charger, that’s it for accessories.

umm i just got that phone like 2 days ago, an it’s such a cool phone, espsh for those who love to text(also me).
It has all the right features, has mp3 player and very very loud music, camera is also very good for a slide phone, hav’t tried wif the internet yet, but should be good. um i think thats about it for the phone, its reali compact an cute an small, very light too!!
bottem line. anyone considering, should buy its a very cute phone, if any more questi0ons just ask, i will answer (just ask through my name^^)

Just to enlighten some of you, this is a great phone for young people. As a 19 year old girl myself, I’ve always loved a side slide with full QWERTY keyboard phone and I have just purchased a Samsung ’sidekick’ phone last month. However, upon finding out the release of this phone, I quickly hit the phone shop to buy it out right for a reasonable price of AUD199! What drew my attention was the colour. I have always been a fan of the colour red, but never really got the chance to buy a good red coloured phone so far. Upon 2 days of owning this phone, it’s been serving me well with its functions and all. However, there are some drawbacks..
1. Video: The video playback seems to be lagging by 1-2 seconds. It makes your viewing displeasurable and weird.
2. Tools: By having explored Nokia, Samsung and Sony Ericsson phones in the past, this phone has given me a lil’ of a hassle by not being able to have a direct shortcut to the Calendar. I’m a heavy scheduler and constantly use my phone to refer to the calendar. And this phone doesn’t offer that. Hence, I need to go through the main menu –> tool –>organiser –> calendar, JUST to check my exam date!
3. Files: Somehow, I can’t seem to move my file (eg. music, image etc) to a specific folder. This phone only moves file to either External or Internal Main Folder, but not to the specific folder if you want to get things organized. I find this pathetic as you have to scroll down to a whole bunch of photos before you can find the one you really want. It seems very disorganized sometimes, especially with all your files scattered around.
4. Start Up: The start up seems to take much longer as expected.
5. File Transfer: When connected to my MacBook with the data cable, I can’t seem to detect my MicroSD memory card, which means I can’t tranfer my data directly to my External Memory. I have to go through the hassle of transferring data to the Internal Memory first, then eject the cable, and then move all my data from the Internal and External Memory Card. And this process repeats for numerous times as the phone only offers 15mb of Internal Memory, until I have transferred all my data. What a hassle!
Apart from that, it is a great simple phone in itself. With an affordable price like AUD199, we can’t expect a really high end phone that gives us all the features that may satisfy all the consumers. However, I hope LG can look into all these for the sake of maintaining their standard and to gain our trust.

It depends on the memory card you use. If you buy a MicroSD 1gb memory card, you can probably store up to 20-30 songs in this phone. However, this phone can hold up to 4gb of memory card. So, you can buy a 4gb MicroSD memory card and store up to hundreds of songs. Hope this helps. Cheers!

No, this phone doesn’t include any memory card. You’ll have to purchase one yourself. Usually one song sized to about 3-4mb. With the internal memory of 15mb in this phone, you can only probably store up to 3-4 songs without any external memory card.

it is an enlish review and i got loads of positives and negatives from it. If you are not sure, try it. It is a video. The keyboard looks great and the touch screen for the numbers seems ok.

It might not be your phone it might be the memory card it depends on what the make of the memory card is, this phone ONLY holds a MICRO SD

It’s weird that you can’t detect your memory card in your phone. Perhaps you could bring the phone back to the shop where you purchased it to get it checked. If the problem still persist, insist for a new one.

Australia BOOST (Optus) only offers RED colour. I don’t think you can get any other colour other that RED here. However, if ever you get the chance to go to the UK, you can purchase Blue or Pink through Orange or O2. Hope this helps!

It’s probably your phone’s problem cause going to the internet is fine for me. However, do check your network coverage and service in the Settings. And usually you can detect the contents in your Memory Card in this phone. However, do bring your phone back to the shop where you purchased. If the problems still persist, insist for a new one. If you’re a big movie-watcher, I advice you not to buy this phone as you will get disappointed. Watching movie in this phone is horrible. I have a few short clips in my phone and it lags badly. And you can’t directly transfer your video from the PC to the external memory. I have no idea why it doesn’t detect the External Memory through the USB transfer.

only is the software use to download to PC “LG PC suite” looks not so good compare to Motorola PC suite.

eBay does sell this phone in different colours, but it costs more. So basically, you’re paying more just for the colour. It’s worth it if you really hate the red. Hehe!
Hey Fern, of course I have the phone. Well, it’s not too bad of a phone- really. I would give it a 6/10. The video really blew some stars off the rating. Oh.. and I found how I can organize photos into folders now! I’m so happy! Finally, time to get organized!

Either you set one of our 5-directional buttons as the shortcut key to your calendar, or you can add them into your Favourites list and access it from there.

That’s weird. On my laptop (running WinXP), it shows both the phone memory and the external memory card. Your computer’s inability to detect it prolly cos it’s Mac? Am not saying that Mac is bad, am wondering whether it’s because of incompatibility issue.

You sure you transfered to the correct drive? Check it before you transfer. I found out that somehow, it’s pretty misleading. The one that looks like the internal memory drive is actually the external, and vice versa.

do you have things in your internal memory because if there is too much in that section that could be why your phone wont let you get more things so if you do try transfering it to the memory card before getting more stuff it might work then.

I’ve just bought this phone the other week and so far I’m loving it. It is so much easier to text with, the camera is clear for a 2mp and it just looks so cool lol
The only downside to it is that it is a bit slow campared to other phones I’ve had in the past, mainly Nokias, and the battery life doesn not last that long especially browsing the web with. Sometimes I get a communcation error but normally would be able to get through to the website after a few tries.
If anyone is having trouble with their sd memory card like not being able to see your images and that from the external memory, I suggest you format it on the phone first, then when you plug in your memory card onto the pc you will see that there are folders on the card called images, sounds, documents etc drag (or copy and paste) your pictures/music into the specific folders and you will be able to see them on your phone. Hope this helps =)
