Great news for the Japanese. Mouse Computer has just announced that they will release MSI’s Wind U100 UMPC in Japan as LuvBook U100 UMPC. Scheduled to hit the Japan store next month, the mini 10.2-inch laptop is powered by a 1.60GHz Intel Atom N270 processor, a 1GB of main memory, an Intel 945GMS + ICH7M chipset, and an 80GB of SATA hard drive. It is also equipped with 802.11b/g WiFI, Bluetooth 2.0, and an intergrated 1.3 megapixel webcam. The price is set at €350.

Another great news, someone has managed to install Mac OSX on his Wind U100! It’s the modified and illegal version of OS 10.5.2 unfortunately, but at least it’s a proof that we can actually have a cheap OSX machine somehow.
