Navigon Unleashes 2120 GPS To Canada

Navigon adds up another GPS navigation product to Canada market, the brand new “Navigon 2120″ from thecompany’s 2100 series PND (Portable Navigation Device). For $300 (CAD), you’d a get a deivce with 3.5-inch touchscreen display, a text-to-speech functionalitiy, street-level voice guidance, multi-language (English and French) support, and a cool reality view mode which delivers 3D photo-realistic views of complex interchanges, complete with road geometry and actual road signs. As for the maps, it’ll be pre-loaded with maps of Canada, and probably U.S maps as well.
Additional featues are real-time traffic information receiver and Zagat Survey Ratings. However, both are available as additional features, so you have to pay $140 (CAD) for them.

Feb 11 2008 - I would recommend you do not purchase the navigon products simply because they do not have a repair depot in North America and parts are not available to repair these units. Mine came from Future Shop, I dropped it on a cold morning and broke the lense. The Future Shop returned it - unable to repair - parts not available. The customer service number at 888-848-0701 says they don’t have a repair depot for North America.
