Lenovo has started selling its new 14.1-inch “L3000-Y410″ laptop in US market. Currently, you can purchase it through Staples, Office Depot, and Micro Center for at least $699. This will get you a machine containing a 1.66GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T5450 processor (667MHz), an Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100, a 2GB of main memory (upgradeable up to 4GB, a 160GB of hard drive, and a DVD burner. Not a bad configurations, right?

Furthermore, Lenovo’s L3000-Y410 notebook also offers a 1280×800 WXGA display with glossy finish, along with an integrated 1.3 megapixel camera which support VeriFace face recognition software. Users can use this app to limit access to the laptop. This could be very handy incase the laptop got stolen and there’s a lot of important data inside.

Regarding connectivity, it comes with pre-installed Windows Vista Home Premium OS, Intel Pro/Wireless 3945ABG WIFI module, an Ethernet LAN support, and a build-in 56K modem. Other features include two integrated speakers and sub-woofer, Dolby Home Theater technology, Audio DJ mode that allows instant CD playback without having to boot into the OS, 3 x USB ports, ExpressCard slot, a 6-in-1 media card reader, FireWire port, VGA, and S-Video outputs.

Weighs 5.2 pounds (including six cell battery), Lenovo L3000-Y410 laptop can be used for up to 4 hours straight before you have to recharge the battery.
