Windows Version Of Asus EEE Laptop Coming Up Next

According to its recent press release, Asus will launch a new version of its cheap Eee laptop by the end of this year. Instead of Linux, the highly-affordable 7-inch notebook PC will be powered by Microsoft Windows operating system. Eventhough no detail has been spilled about which Windows version, but I believe Windows XP is the one. Afterall, Asus Eee doesn’t have all the requirement to run Vista — for example, it only has 512MB of RAM and 16GB of HDD, while Vista definitely hunger for more.
“The ASUS Eee PC defines a new category of computing device that offers an excellent Internet experience on-the-go for work, learn and play. With the addition of Microsoft Windows, the Eee PC can now also accommodate educational and corporate requirements,” the press release says.
