FlipStart, an ultra-small portable computer, is now available at just $1,499. Previously, the price for this baby was $1,999, but the manufacturer is kind enough to give 25% cuts to that price, taking $500 away. Measures 5.9 x 4.5 x 1.6-inch and weighs 1.5lbs, the UMPC boasts a small 5.6-inch display — much like Fujitsu’s U1010 (I think I should post about that mini laptop, I just saw it 2 days ago, and it looked gorgeous!) –, an Intel Pentium M ULV (1.1GHz) processor, a 512MB of main memory, a 30GB of hard drive, Bluetooth, 802.11b/g WiFI, and an optional mobile broadband module. As for the OS, it comes pre-loaded with either Windows XP Professional or Vista Business edition.
