Fujitsu LifeBook U810 UMPC Now Available

Right on time! As already expected from the company’s scheduled, Fujitsu’s Lifebook U810 UMPC (or Mini Notebook PC, whatever) is now available. This is the company’s first ultra-mobile PC for US market and it holds the rank of the “World’s Smallest Tablet Convertible”. Based on Intel Ultra Mobile Platform 2007, it is powered by an 800MHz Intel A110 Ultra Low Voltage (ULV) processor, a 1GB of DDR2 main memory, an Intel 945GU chipset, and a 40GB of 1.8-inch 4,200rpm HDD. Weighs at just 1.56 pounds, U810 is also equipped with a QWERTY keyboard, a 5.6-inch touchscreen display with pen and finger input and a resolution of 1024×600, a CF/SD card reader, fingerprint reader, TPM (Trusted Platform Module), and a 4-cell battery that provides up to 5.5 hours of usage. Regarding connectivity, it offers 802.11a/b/g WiFi, Bluetooth, and Ethernet LAN.
Fujitsu Lifebook U810 UMPC is retailed with a starting price of $999. It’ll be pre-installed with either Windows Vista Home Premium, Vista Business, or XP Tablet PC Edition 2005 operating system, depend on configuration.
