Alltel yesterday announced the release of MOTORAZR2 V9m cell phone onto its distribution network. The handset is now available at Alltel Wireless retail stores and shopalltel.com for $299 after a $100 mail-in rebate. Both new customers who take a two-year service agreement and existing eligible customers can also purchase the phone at a discounted price. The phone itself sports an integrated 2 megapixel camera module with video recording capability, Bluetooth connectivity with stereo bluetooth support, a microSD media card slot, and an external display. To differentiate it with Sprint, Verizon, and AT&T’s version, Alltel also includes its own customization features, such as XM Radio, Celltop, Axcess Search, and TeleNav GPS.
