CECT, a China-based company, offers two GSM-CDMA dual-mode cell phones, the T828 and D388 models. Let’s talk about the T828 first (picture above). Runs on dual-band GSM (900/1800) and single-band CDMA (800) networks, the handset features a 2.0-inch display, a 32MB of onboard memory with microSD/TransFlash media card slot for external storage option, built-in media player (MP3/MP4), GPRS, WAP, SMS/MMS, and a 1.3 megapixel camera module. It measures about 100 x 40 x 10 mm and provides up to 72 hours of standby time and up to 6 hours of talktime through a 110mAh Li-Ion battery.
As for CECT D388 cell phone (picture on the left), it comes with almost similar specs than its sibling. The only difference, apart from the design, is the price. While CECT T828 is retailed for around $233, the D388 model costs a little bit higher, $298. Well, I don’t see the reason why I should purchase the expensive one though…
