I’m currently looking for a dual-mode (GSM-CDMA) handset and one of my consideration is the Coolpad series from Mito. Released in about six months ago, the Coolpad 288 model for example, features a 2.0-inch (262K colors) display, an integrated 2 megapixel camera module with video record capability, a T-Flash media card slot (up to 1GB supported), Li-Ion battery, and both tri-band GSM (900/1800/1900) and dual-band CDMA (800/1900) network support with GPRS and WAP ready. Users can choose between GSM or CDMA system upon calling, as well as limiting incoming call through either blacklist or whitelist feature. More over, the phone supports Chinese Pingyin input, up to 2000 phonebook entries, and MP4 playback.
Other model in the series are Mito Coolpad 238 and Coolpad 298. Both cell phones sport the same specs. The only difference is their appearance (Coolpad 298 is the silver version of Coolpad 288). Check them out below.
Mito Coolpad series cell phones are currently retailed with a price tag set between $280 to $300 (today’s currency rate).
