HP presents three new Pavilion series laptops, all based on the new Intel Santa Rosa platform. Here’s one of them, the 17-inch widescreen dv9500t entertainment notebook PC. For a starting price of $1,199, the machine is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo T7100 (1.8GHz) processor (you can opt-in for a 2.0GHz T7300 or 2.2GHz T7500 CPU as well), an integrated Intel GMA X3100 graphics engine supporting a resolution up to 1680×1050, Intel GM965 chipset, a 2GB of DDR2 main memory (up to 4GB supported), and up to 400GB of hard drive (2×200GB).
Regarding connectivity, HP Pavilion dv9500t laptop comes with support for 802.11a/b/g/n WiFI — thanks to Intel PRO/Wireless 4965AGN module –, Ethernet LAN, integrated 56K modem, along with an optional Bluetooth and broadband wireless via Verizon V740 ExpressCard module. Moreover, the machine, weighs approx. 7.7lbs, is also equipped with three USB ports, Firewire, VGA-Out, S-VIdeo TV-Out, a 5-in-1 media card reader, an ExpressCard slot with ExpressCard TV Tuner, biometrics fingerprint reader, a DVD burner (LightScribe DVD burner also available) and built-in Altec Lansing stereo speakers. An optional webcam module is provided as well.
Finally, Pavilion dv9500t notebook PC sports a new HP Imprint Finish “Radiance” coating (picture below) and pre-loaded with Microsoft Windows Vista operating system.
