Introducing My New CDMA Phone - Audiovox UTStarcom XV6700

It isn’t new. It doesn’t even get a good score on some reviews. But it’s definitely the best dual-band (800/1900MHz) CDMA PDA phone with wide QWERTY keyboard design and built-in 802.11b WiFI connectivity I can find. Yup, I’m talking about XV6700 phone from UTStarcom. Its specs are exactly what I need right now: Bluetooth, Windows Mobile 5.0 OS, web browser (IE), Instant Messenger, and touchscreen display. Moreover, the handset comes with a 1.3 megapixel camera, but it doesn’t really matter to me ’cause I already trusted my Sony Ericsson K800 for handling photography tasks. Also, eventhough I rarely used my phone as a modem for my Acer TravelMate 3274WXMi laptop, it’s still another plus point.
With the current exchange rate, I purchased 10-oz UTStarcom XV6700 PDA Phone for around $388. It’s a refurbished and I guess the price is higher than that in U.S or Europe. But I believe this one worthed the money
Amazon seems no longer have XV6700 PDA Phone available for sale, but I spotted a few of them up for an auction on eBay.
Other features include a 416Mhz Intel Xscale processor, a 64MB SDRAM, a 128MB ROM, 5-way navigation button, built-in microphone with voice recorder function, miniSD card slot, IR, and mini-USB interface.
