Four New NEC Lavie Laptops

Along with those new ValueStar computers, NEC also proposed four new LaViE series laptops: the LaVie C, LaVie J, LaVie L Basic, and LaVie L Advanced models. The specs for LaViE C goes with a 15-inch WXGA/WXGA+ Super-Shien View EX3 liquid crystal display which offers 25% better brightness and contrast over its X predecessors, an Intel Core 2 Duo T7200 (2GHz) processor, an ATI Radeon X1600 graphics engine with 512MB of VRAM and HDMI support, and dual-format Blu-Ray and BD player. Sounds expensive huh? But don’t worry, you can opt-in for T5600 Merom and DVD-DL burner if you want, of course with a cheaper price.
As for the compact 12.1-inch NEC LaVie J series notebook, it sports a XGA resolution display, an Intel Core 2 Duo U7500 (1.06GHz), a 1GB of RAM, a 120GB of disk space, DVD burner, and both WiFI and Bluetooth connectivity. If you want (and have extra budget), you can opt-in for a digital TV tuner (PCMCIA).
Next is the LaVie L “Advanced Edition”, featuring an Intel Core 2 Duo T5500 (or Celeron M430) processor, an ATI XPress 1250 graphics engine, and X2 display technology.
Finally, the LaVie L “Basic Edition” laptop is the standard version of its “Advanced Edition” sibling, throwing out all of the goodies and leaving only the basic configuration, such as Intel Celeron M430 (or AMD Sempron 3400+) CPU and an ATI Radeon Xpress 200M chipset.
