Gateway Upgrades E-100M Laptop With Intel Core 2 Duo U7600 ULV CPU

With the launch of the new Core 2 Duo U7600 Ultra-Low Voltage processor from Intel, computer manufacturers have started to upgrade their products with this new powerful engine. One of the first OEMs to integrated the CPU is Gateway. As reported by eWeek, the company has updated its E-100M laptop with the Merom U7600 ULV, featuring a 1.2GHz clock speed, 533MHz FSB and a 2MB of L2 cache.
The rest of the specs remain the same as its predecessor. Including a 12.1-inch display, a 512MB of DDR2 RAM, a 40GB of SATA hard drive, WiFI connectivity, and Windows XP Prefessional Edition operating system. The laptop will be retailed for around $1,350.
