Toshiba yesterday announced three new gaming laptops at once, the Satellite P100-ST9752, P100-ST9762, and P100-ST9772 models. All of these notebooks sport a 17-inch widescreen LCD display supported by a 512MB nVidia GeForce Go 7900 GTX graphics engine, an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, a DDR2 PC5300 667MHz RAM (up to 4GB supported), and Windows Vista Ultimate Edition operating system. Furthermore, built on Mobile Intel 945PM Express chipset, they’re equipped with an Intel PRO/Wireless Network Connection 3945ABG, Gigabit Ethernet LAN, an integrated 56K modem, a 5-in-1 Bridge Media Adapter, ExpressCard slot, PCMCIA slot, four USB ports, RGB, S-VIdeo, DVI-D outputs, and FireWire port. Each weighs at least 7.1 lbs (including 9-cell Li-Ion battery).
Now let’s check the detail on each configuration. Toshiba Satellite P100-ST9752 laptop features an Intel Core 2 Duo T5600 (1.83GHz) processor, a 1GB of main memory, a 120GB of SATA hard drive, and a resolution of 1440×900 (WXGA+). This notebook can be purchased for $1,999.
As for the Satellite P100-ST9762, it is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo T7200 (2.0GHz) CPU, a 1024 of RAM, a 160GB of 5,400rpm SATA HDD, and a resolution of 1680×1050 (WSXGA+). The price is set at $2,499. Finally, the Satellite P100-ST9772, the most advanced model on the trio, is retailed for $2,899. It carries the specs of ST-9762 laptop, but with an additional 1GB of RAM.
