Ricoh presented a new digicam under its famous Caplio series, the Caplio 500SE. It’s not just an ordinary digital camera though as it comes with a GPS functionalities which is still rare in the digicam market. However, the GPS module is not integrated yet. But in other hand, you are free to use your own external GPS receiver and connect it with the camera via Bluetooth connection. The 500SE itself is the fisrt GPS-ready digital camera from the company.

Regarding specs, Caplio 500SE features an 8 megapixel CCD sensor, a 2.5-inch LCD display, a waterproof and shockproof body, and even WiFI connectivity for wirelessly transfer photos to other WiFI-enabled device. The price? A whopping $1,200. There’s a non-wireless version though, about couple hundred bucks less. Both digital cameras are currently avaiilable in Europe.
