Asus has officially released two of its new MyPal series PDA Phone, the A686 and A696 models. I’ve posted about MyPal A686 before, so let’s ignore it and talk about the A696 instead. Powered by a 416Mhz Intel XScale processor, the cell phone features a 3.5-inch anti-glare touchscreen LCD display with 65K colors and 240×320 resolution, a 256MB Flash ROM, a 64MB SDROM, a SD card slot for additional storage, and an integrated microphone and speaker. Measures 117 x 70.8 x 15.7mm and weighs 165 grams, it supports wide-range of connectivity options, including WiFI, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, USB 1.1, and SIR.

Runs on Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC Edition OS, MyPal A696 PDA Phone also comes with a built-in GPS functionalities for satellite navigation purpose. Together with the A686 model, the two GPS PDAs are advertised as “Ultra Slim GPS PDA Sparkles with High Quality Feel” by the company.
