A Taiwanese company named Compass Systems (CPSS) recently unveiled its latest in-car satellite navigation system, CN767. Powered by Samsung’s processor and 20-channel SiRF Star III GPS chipset, it can display maps in 2D and 3D view, as well as day and night modes. The device can also provide multi-language voice and visual guidance, along with fast automatic re-routing to avoid traffic jam.
Other features include a 3.5-inch touch screen display, MP3 playback and image viewer functions, a 32MB ROM, a 64MB RAM, a rechargable Li-Ion battery that can deliver juice for up to 3.5 hours of continous usage, built-in speakers with stereo headset jack, and finally, a SD/MMC card slot (up to 2GB supported). Not sure about the preloaded maps, but you’ll probably get one for Taiwan. Price and availability are not yet revealed either.
