Medion is going to release its newest UMPC product, the MD RIM 1000. Powered by a 1GHz VIA ULV (Ultra-Low Voltage) processor, this ultra-mobile personal computer boasts a QWERTY keyboard with sliding mechanism, along with a touch pad, making it more compact than other similar devices on the market. Weighs around 1.5lbs, it is equipped with a 512MB of main memory, up to 40GB of 4,200rpm hard drive, and a 6.5-inch touch screen display supported by Unichrome Pro graphics engine.

When it comes to connectivity, Medion MD RIM 1000 UMPC supports 802.11b/g WiFI and Bluetooth 2.0. As for entertainment, there’s a built-in webcam and digital TV tuner, thus allowing you to watch your favorite TV programme on-the-go. A handy GPS module is provided as well, so you don’t have to worry about getting lost on your way home. Finally, the integrated battery delivers up to 5 hours of juice to this Vista-ready mobile PC.
