Samsung has just launched a cell phone with full of innovative features, the SCH-V960 model. First, it incorporated a cool ‘Optical Joystick’ function which automatically detect the movement of your finger on the sensor and use it to control the cursor on the screen. The screen itself is called MyScreen, and it comes with PC-style iconic interface. Users can simply navigate through the menu by moving the cursor around and clicking on the icon. Other highlighted feature is the ‘Smart Lighting’ which, through an illumination sensor, automatically control the brightness of the screen and keypad. Thanks to this technology, users are protected from eye strain. Power consumption will be minimized as well.
Kitae Lee, President of Samsung’s Telecommunication and Network Business said, “As the importance of user-friendly interface increases, Samsung is researching and developing methods that enhances intuitive use of mobile phones. Samsung will continue to combine innovative idea and the latest technology that will benefit our end users.”
Other features include an integrated 2 megapixel camera module, Bluetooth connectivity, and GPS capabilities. Samsung SCH-V960 cell phone will be released in Korea market by the end of December.
