Lenovo has just upgraded its Thinkpad T60 (review) and T60p laptops and added the widescreen displays, new ATI Mobility Radeon models, and of course, the powerful Intel Merom processors onto their configuration options. The base configuration of T60 notebook for example, will now have a 15.4-inch WXGA display with 1280×800 resolution, a Core 2 Duo T5500 CPU, a 512MB of RAM, a 40GB of hard drive, a DVD-ROM, Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 graphics engine, and WiFI connectivity from Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG chipset. This one is retailed for $1,549.

Regarding graphics cards, Thinkpad T60 laptop can opt-in for either a 64MB ATI Mobility Radeon X1300 or a 128MB ATI Mobility Radeon X1400, while customers of T60p can upgrade to a 256MB ATI Mobility FireGL V5250 graphics engine if they want. According to the press release, a Core 2 Duo T7600-powered Thinkpad T60p notebook with FireGL V5250 and 15.4-inch widescreen display can be purchased for $4,149.
