RoadRover, a China-based manufacturer, recently unveiled ENV-1200, its new navigation system. Apparently, this one is packed with a bunch of wonderful features. Starting with its 300g hood, you can find the super-fast 400MHz processor, a JP30 GPS receiver which seems to have the same specs as the SiRF Star III chipset (and hopefully the same accuracy and perfomance), and a generous 128MB of RAM. Apart from the standard 3.5-inch colors LCD display and PMP capabilities (AVI, MPEG1-2/4, WMV, WAV, WMA, MP3, JPEG, GIF, BMP, PNG), this navigation system can also open your PDF, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files, thanks to the preloaded Windows CE 5.0 operating system.
As I mentioned before, as a satellite navigation system, RoadRover ENV-1200 offers an impressive features. It has a door to door voice guidance function, and able to display arrival time, distance, road name, direction, along with the ability to save addresses and destination data for easy navigation. Several built-in mini games are also provided.
Furthermore, measures 133 x 132 x 27mm, RoadRover ENV-1200 GPS also includes an audio port, a VGA port, two USB ports, an external GPS antenna jack, and a SD card slot for expansion. Three flavours will be available — silver, grey, or black — and the retail package will be bundled with a 1GB SD card preloaded with maps (supposedly China), and a remote control.
