Cingular Wireless announced the availability of Samsung’s BlackJack, a 11.8mm HSDPA smartphone, in the U.S market. HSDPA provides various multimedia services along with a high-speed voice/data transmission at the speed of 1.8Mbps which is about 5x faster than existing WCDMA cell phones. Other features include a 2.3-inch QVGA LCD display, an integrated 1.3 megapixel camera module with video recording capability, MP3 player, file viewer, Bluetooth mobile printing, and Windows Mobile 5.0 Smartphone Edition operating system.
