I remember posting about this Blu-Ray player before, and it’s one of a hundred posts that have gone with the wind along with the recent database lost. So here it goes once again, the BDP-HD1 is a Blu-Ray player (BD-RE, BD-R, BD-ROM) which is compatible with HD format (1080i and 1080p24), DLNA, Windows Media Connect, and PlaysForSure. It supports DTS-HD, DTS, and Dolby Digital sound system, and comes with a HDMI jack for one-cable hookup. Audio playback in WMA, MP3, and LPCM format, as well as JPEG picture display, also supported.
For those operating a networked home, the BDP-HD1 Blu-Ray player was designed with Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) guidelines. When utilizing the IP networking capability, users will be able to access and easily load protected content currently stored on a DLNA compliant server or Windows XP’s PC using Windows Media Connect. In addition to favorite photos, music and movies, users can download new content straight to their computer for immediate viewing on a television through the player. Furthermore, the unit’s PlaysForSure compliance provides compatibility with all existing Microsoft software.
