Coming (Very) Soon: Nike+iPod Sport Kit

Nike and Apple will soon (probably today) officially launch their Nike+iPod Sport Kit, the first product developed in partnership between the two companies. As a combination between sport and music, the Nike+iPod Sport Kit lets Nike+ ready sport shoes to communicate with Apple’s iPod Nano through a sensor inside the footwear and a receiver plugged onto the Nano. Users will then be able to receive several useful information, such as time, distance, calories burner, and pace. This data will be stored directly on the Ipod and can be either displayed on its screen or heard through the headphones.
Along with the Sport Kit, Nike will also release Nike Air Zoom Moire+ and Nike Air Zoom Plus+, the first two footwears compatible with the Nike+iPod Sport Kit, by the end of July. The Kit itself will be retailed for $29, while the Nike+ ready footwear can be bought for around $80 - $100. And of course, you must have iPod Nano if you want to use the Sport Kit.
