D-Link Ships DPH-541 and DPH-540 WiFi Cell Phones

D-Link has begun the shipment of its WiFI phones, the DPH-540 (black) and DPH-541 (silver). These clamshell cell phones combined VoIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) technology and 802.11 Wireless connectivity in one SIP (Session Initiation Protocol)-based package. Users would not just able to make normal phone calls, but also VoIP phone calls via WiFI network. The handset is guarantee to comply with Public SIP Telephone Network and supports WEP, WPA< and WPA2 encryption.
Weighs 3.74 ounces, D-Link’s WiFi cell phones offer 100 address book entries, called ID, polyphonic ringtones, and text messaging. Nothing fancy here if you’re looking for any. The battery itself provides up to 70 hours of standby time. Priced at $249.99, the retail package is bundled with power adapter and mini-USB cable.
