Mercury presents the MD-1000 GPS at the recent SEK 2006 exhibition. This portable navigation device is doubled as PMP and comes with DMB receiver as well. With the PMP functionality, users can listen to the music (MP3 and WMA audio files supported) and watching movies (AVI and WMV) on-the-go. While the DMB receiver lets user to receive and watch satellite TV broadcast (MPEG4 AVC/H.264 and BSAC) on the GPS’ 7-inch colors LCD screen.
Runs under Windows CE 5.0 operating system, MD-1000 GPS is powered by PXA 270 processor and SiRF Star III GPS chipset. It provides built-in stereo speakers with MPEG-2 audio decoding support, as well as SD card slot with up to 1GB of capacity supported.
No words about pricing and availability of the MD-1000 GPS yet.
