Here’s the new Tablet PC from Toshiba, the Satellite R25. Priced at $1,349, this convertible laptop offers an Intel Core Duo T2050 (1.6GHz) processor, 1GB of DDR2 RAM, and 100GB of SATA HDD. Comes with a 14.1-inch LCD display with TruBrite technology, Toshiba claims it as the world’s first Tablet PC with WXGA+ resolution (1440×900). The graphics itself is engined by Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 with up to 128 of shared system memory.
Like the U205 series, this laptop also incorporates a handy technology to secure and protect the machine. Dubbed as LifeSmart Technology, it consists of a HDD shock absorption, a spill resistant keyboard, and a durable chassis to help protect the internal components of the computer from bumps and drops. Nice.
On the surface, the Satellite R25 laptop is embedded with a 5-in-1 memory card reader, four USB 2.0 ports, IEEE 1394 interface, TV-out / S-Video terminal, DVD SuperMulti drive, microphone and headphone jack. A built-in microphone is included as well. As for connectivity options, users will have the freedom to choose between WiFI, Ethernet LAN, or 56K modem.
