Acer TravelMate 3020 Laptop

Acer has just unveiled its latest TravelMate laptop series, the 3020 model. Based on Intel Centrino Duo Mobile technology, this ultra-portable white-colored notebook offers an advanced Intel Core Duo processor and full wireless connectivty which includes a dual-band tri-mode IEEE 802.11a/b/g WiFI, WLAN, LAN, WPAN (Bluetooth 2.0), and optical (FIR). Weighs at just 1.5kg, the laptop comes with a 12-inch widescreen (WXGA) LCD display with 1280×800 pixels resolution. Users can opt-in for Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 and enjoy Acer’s GridVista software which organizes Desktop area views when working with multiple program windows.

Another cool features available on the laptop are the incorporated Acer’s GraviSense technology that detects sudden motion changes of the notebook (such as a fall) and automatically retracts the disk heads to avoid surface scratching and Acer’s AntiTheft technology that warns you if the system is being moved. Once you caught the thief, you can call the police right away using the optional Acer VoIP Bluetooth phone. You can also create a video record of the theft with the laptop’s built-in 1.3 megapixel CMOS camera module - named Acer OrbiCam - and show it off to your friend later.

Comes in a compact A4-sheets dimensions, Acer TravelMate 3020 laptop can be used for up to 5.5 hours on a full battery charge. It will be pre-loaded with Windows XP Professional Edition operating system along with several handy applications, such as Acer’s Empowering Technology (eDataSecurity, eLock, ePerformance, eRecovery, eSettings, eNet, ePower and ePresentation), Acer GridVista, Adobe Reader, Cyberlink Power DVD, NTI CD-Maker and Norton AntiVirus.
