The Japan-based company, Sotec, recently announced its newest laptop collection, the WinBook WE355 model. This 17-inch WXGA+ notebook offers an Intel Celeron M 420 (1.60GHz) processor, 512MB of RAM (expandable up to 2GB), 100GB of Ultra-ATA HDD, and DVD SuperMulti drive. No info about the graphics engine, but the display itself is able to deliver up to 1440×900 screen resolution. 802.11b/g Wireless LAN connectivity and Gigabit Ethernet are supported, but sadly, no Bluetooth support on the laptop. Furthermore, this machine is also equipped with IEEE 1394 interface, USB 2.0 ports, D-Sub, S-Video and S/PDIF output interface, ExpressCard/54 slot, integrated 56K modem, and built-in 3-in-1 (SD/MMC/Memory Stick Pro) memory card reader.
