Candela has just announced its new 17-inch LCD monitor, the TE175SDR model. Aimed at both multimedia and general productivity market, this LCD monitor offers a contrast ratio of 600:1, a response time of 5ms, a brightness of 300cd/m2, 140/130 degrees viewing angle, and 1280×1024 SXGA resolution. Measures 369 x 195 x 372 mm and weighs 10.1 pounds (or 4.6kg), it also carries two 1.5W speakers inside. The company plans to release this product on July 1st in Japan with a price tag of 34,800 Yen or around $302.
