Proton Purity HDTV

A Taiwan-based company named Proton recently unveiled its new HD TV at Computex 2006. Called Purity, this 55-inch TV offers a Full HD (1080p) resolution, 16:9 aspect ratio, 176 degrees viewing angle, 550:1 contrast ratio, 500 nits brightness, and 8ms response time. Other features are depend on the region (look at the Specs table below). The company itself is quite well-known in the US as a LCD screen manufacturer.
