FlyBook V33i Connect-Everywhere Laptop

FlyBook V33i LaptopA Taiwan-based company called FlyBook has just released two new innovative laptops, the V33i and the VM model. The first model, comes in sexy hot red color, boasts its wide-range of connectivity options that include HSDPA (High Speed Download Packet Access), UMTS (Universal Mobile Telecommunication Service), EDGE (Enhanced Data rates for Global Evolution), GPRS, and GSM network. Along with Radio WAN, the standard connectivity options - like Wiress LAN, Gigabit Ethernet, and Bluetoooth 1.2 - are supported as well. With those massive connectivity support, the V33i has been granted as the world’s first laptop with 3.5G data communication facility.

Weighs at just 1.2kg, the 8.9-inch laptop is powered by a Pentium M753 (1.2GHz) processor, 512MB of DDR RAM, 1024×600 WXGA resolution, and up to 60GB of HDD. It is equipped with two USB 2.0 ports, two 1394 Firewire port, TypeII PC card slot, and NTSC/PAL TV Tuner. Measures 235 x 155 x 31 mm, it comes with a pre-installed Windows XP Home or Professional Edition OS. Future Windows Vista OS is supported as well.

Oh, and have I mention that the V33i laptop can work in tablet mode as well? Well, now you know it. You can turn its LCD screen like those Tablet PCs and uses your handwritting skill to interact with the system. Yes, the screen is touch sensitive. And it supports thumb operation as well, eventough I’m not really sure what the hell is thumb op. Other thing that I’m not sure is the estimated price and availability since there’s no words about it on their website.
