Samsung FilterBright's Plasma HDTVSamsung will embedded its newly patented FilterBright technology onto its new line of HD-Ready Plasma TV. The lucky 73 series, 50-inch HP-S5073 and 42-inch HP-S4273 HDTVs, will have two HDMI input, component connections, 16:9 aspect ration, and 175 degrees of viewing angle. The FilterBright technology itself is an anti-reflective film that absorbs external light and transmits internal light, thereby increasing the contrast levels and preventing unwanted reflection. For example, in bright daylight, the technology will create high contrast with pure black to show clearer image details and generate superb dark area representation.

Samsung 73 series HD-Ready Plasma TVs comes with an ATSC digital cable-ready tuner that gives quick access to the latest HD content and built-in 9-in-1 memory card reader. It features a high 10,000:1 of contrast ratio and 1300-1500cd/m2 of brightness. Both HDTVs will be available in July 2006. The price is $4,299 for the 50-inch model and $3,299 for the 42-inch TV.
