And another new laptop from Sotec with a dual core processor, the WinBook DN6000. But instead of Intel Core Duo, this laptop uses an AMD’s Turion 64 X2 processor, similar to the Ferrari 5000 and Ferrari 1000 notebooks from Acer. Users will be able to choose between the Turion 64 X2 TL-50 (1.60GHz), TL-56 (1.80GHz), and TL-60 (2.0GHz). Of course the final price will depend on the selected processor. It won’t hurt your wallet a lot though, since the basic configuration, with ATI Radeon XPress 1100 chipset, 512MB of RAM, 40GB of SATA HDD and DVD/DL burner, will only cost you around 700 EUR. Pretty cheap, huh?
Sotec’s WinBook DN6000 Laptop also offers a 15.4-inch wide TFT LCD screen with 1280×800 max resolution, ExpressCard support, Ethernet LAN, integrated 56K modem, USB port, and integrated microphone. Measures 359 x 34 x 255 mm and weighs 2.7 kg, this Windows Vista-ready laptop can be used for up to 2.8 hours on single full charge.
