Sharp announced two new LCD monitors yesterday, the 17-inch LL-17A-W and 19-inch LL-194B-B model. Both LCDs will have a 1280×1024 SXGA resolution, 160 degrees viewing angle, 8ms response time, and two color variants - black and white. That’s the similarities. Now what about the differences?

Let’s talk the detail of the LL-17A-W first. This LCD monitor offers 650:1 contast ratio, 300cd/m2 brightness, and built-in stereo speaker. It is planned to hit the Japanese market on June, 14th. As for the LL194B-B model, it has a contrast ratio of 700:1 and 280cd/m2 brightness. And yes, no speaker on this monitor that is going to go retail on June, 28th.
