Acer Ferrari 5000 Laptop

Acer recently announced the new Ferrari laptop series, the Ferrari 5000 and Ferrari 1000 laptop. I’ll focus on the 5000 model first and talk about the 1000 model on another post.
The Ferrari 5000 laptop is an update of the Ferrari 4000 series. If you remember, that 15.4-inch notebook is powered by AMD Turion processor, 120GB of HDD, and ATI Radeon X700 graphics card. Its little brother will have the same screen size, but it will carry a more powerful processor, the AMD Turion 64 X2, and larger hard disk capacity, 160GB. Unfortunately, it seems that the company forget to mention about the graphics card on its press release, so we can only hope that it’d be better than the Radeon X700.
Sports a carbon fiber case, Acer’s Ferrari 5000 laptop also features a HD-DVD optical drive (or DVD SuperMulti DL drive), integrated Acer’s OrbiCam 1.3 megapixel webcam, Acer’s Invlink WiFI and Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity, 5-in-1 media card reader, Gigabit Ethernet, integrated 56K modem, and Acer’s VoIP Bluetooth phone. The notebook will come with several handy software pre-installed, including Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition or Microsoft Windows Professional Edition, Adobe Reader, Norton AntiVirus and CyberLink PowerDVD or CyberLink Power Producer, Acer GridVista and Acer Arcade Software Suite.
