Two weeks ago, I mentioned about the new VAIO Type A laptop series from Sony that features a gorgeous Blu-ray disc drive. And now, here’s another model under the Type A range, the VGN-AR18LP. Apart from the Blu-Ray, this laptop offers an Intel Core Duo T2600 (2.16GHz) processor, 160GB of SATA HDD (supposedly 2 x 80GB in RAID mode), NVidia GeForce Go 76700 GT graphics card with 256MB of GDDR2 SDRAM, Sound Reality Audio Chip with Dolby Digital Live support. This 17-inch notebook is also equipped with Bluetooth connectivity, integrated webcam, HDMI connector, and S/PDIF optical output. Users will get a pre-installed Blu-ray software for HD-quality and easy editing, as well as other software for SACD (Super Audio CD) playback. For the OS, Microsoft Windows XP Professional edition will be included.

Sony VAIO VGN-AR18LP laptop is expected to hit the Korean market in the middle of June. No words about the price yet.
