I’ve already noticed this Acer’s TravelMate 4202WLMi laptop when I visited Mega Computer Bazaar 2006 event on March and now PCMag has just reviewed the laptop. However, since specs (and price) are kinda different than what I saw at the exhibition, let’s hear about its specs first. Aimed at general and small business consumers, the TravelMate 4202WLMi notebook is powered by Intel Core Duo T2300 (1.67GHz) processor, 1GB of RAM, 100GB of HDD, and Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 chipset. Equipped with DVD+R/DL optical drive, this 15.4-inch laptop also comes with a Wireless LAN connectivity and Microsoft Windows XP Professional operating system. Weighs 6 lbs, Acer TravelMate 4202WLMi laptop is currently available online through Amazon for $1,099.
Excerpt from the review:
The Acer TravelMate 4202WLMi delivers plenty of value for small-business users and novices looking for a first notebook. The unit costs a mere $1,099 (list), yet it includes an Intel Core Duo T2300 (1.67 GHz), 1GB of RAM, and plenty of hard drive space. At 6.0 pounds, it falls on the border between a desktop replacement and a thin-and-light notebook and is lighter than the Editors’ Choice, the 6.6-pound Dell Inspiron E1505.
