Here’s the most anticipated portable PC from Samsung, the Q1 ultra-mobile computing device. As reported earlier, this mobile PC comes with 32GB of NAND Flash-based SDD (Solid State Disk) memory which is not just faster than the standard hard drive, but also more effective and efficient. Samsung Q1 Ultra-Mobile PC is powered by Intel Celeron M 353 (900MHz) processor, 512MB of DDR2 RAM, and as stated before, 32GB of SDD. It offers 7-inch WXGA (800×480) TFT LCD screen engined by Intel GMA 900 chipset. Measures 227.5 x 139.5 x 24.5 ~ 26.5 mm and weighs 777 grams, the device is not just able to handle general productivity tasks, but it can also entertain the users. It comes with a built-in DMB receiver - that lets you watch satellite TV broadcast -, SRS 3D Sound support, and internal 2×2W stereo speaker with 16 bit SB Pro compatible sound card. Other features include WiFI and Bluetooth connectivity, as well as 10/100 Ethernet network support.

More detail on the multimedia features, the Q1 ultra-mobile PC will also feature “instant-on” capability. With this feature, users would be able to watch movie, listen to the music, or display photos, without having to completely boot the device. And don’t forget, the satellite TV programme can be accessed instantly too, so users won’t miss any single second of the FIFA World Cup 2006 match.
