PC has just posted a review of the latest HP Compaq laptop series, the nc6400 model. I’ve spilled all of the detail about this notebook before, so I won’t talk much about it right now. Well, according to review, this lightweight laptop has an integrated EvDO support and a good set of security which contribute into its good points. No wonder, nc6400 comes with a built-in fingerprint reader, HP Protect Tools suite, and smart card slot. Furthermore, both biometrics and smart card device are tied to a Trusted Platform Module (TPM), a hardware chip that enables users and administrators to store personal keys and passwords without compromising security if the hard drive is breached.
Excerpt from the review:
The HP Compaq nc6400 ($1,799) notebook’s business-casual design and briefcase-friendly frame are ideal for fast-paced mobile users. And for those who always need to stay connected, the laptop’s built-in EV-DO cellular modem will make that possible.
