Along with the N73 phone, Nokia has also announced the upcoming N72 and N93 cell phone. Well, now it’s time to talk about the N72.
Like other phones under the N-Series range, Nokia N72 also offers a high-perfomance multimedia features with professional digital camera capabilities, as well as personal productivity functions. Comes in two colors (pearl pink and gloss black), this quadband GSM phone sports a 2 megapixel (1600×1200 pixels) camera module with flash and video recording function, integrated digital music player with dedicated capture and music player keys, integrated browser, FM radio tuner and support for Visual Radio.
Like the Nokia 3250, this cell phone also has a unique method to activate the camera mode. If in N3250 you have to twist the phone in 90 degrees, in N72 you have to slide open the active lens cover to get ready to shot. You can the picture on its 2.1-inch color display and like the N73, you can also create slideshow, print, transfer to your PC, and share your photos with the online community like Flickr.
As for the multimedia functions, you’ll get an integrated digital music player (supposedly support MP3 and AAC audio files) with several dedicated buttons to control the player directly. With the included Nokia Music Manager software (for the PC), you can record music from your CDs, create playlists, and then transfer your music onto the Nokia N72.
Matching themed headset and wrist strap are included in sales packs of the Nokia N72. The Nokia N72 is expected to be available from June 2006 in key markets worldwide, including the Middle East and Africa, Russia, Eastern Europe, mainland China, India, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia and the Philippines.
