Let’s dig the upcoming Nokia’s N73 phone a little bit further. I’ve mentioned earlier that this quadband EDGE/GSM phone features an excellent 3.2 megapixel camera module with Carl Zeiss optic lens and autofocus capability. But I haven’t told you that it will also support internet community, such as Flickr - the largest online photo sharing community on the Web. Users will be able to connect to Flickr directly from the phone (or from image gallery application) and upload their photos there, as well as adding comments to the photos.

“More and more people are using mobile products to access Internet services and applications, which is why we are adding support for services like Flickr to our Nokia Nseries devices,” said Mikko Pilkama, director, Multimedia, Nokia. “Powerful multimedia computers like the Nokia Nseries are the best way to enjoy these new experiences and have them with you all the time. Being able to share a spontaneously captured photo with friends, or even complete strangers, is easy when you have a connected computer sitting in your pocket.”

The other two new Nokia N-Series phone, N72 and N93, will also come with Flickr support.

Back to the N73 cell phone, its integrated high-quality camera (2048×1536 pixels) can provide real photo quality up to 10×8 inch (or 25×20 cm). Along with the advanced autofocus function, it has mechanical shutter feature as well. The result is sharper photos, crisp detail, and redcued movement distortion, even in a low light conditions.

Futhermore, there’s a powerful active toolbar interface that provides a one-touch selection to send photos via email, Bluetooth, or MMS, print photos, or upload them onto an Internet community (read: Flickr). You can also create slideshow with your snapped photos and add background music from your tunes to the photos or slideshow.

In other way, Nokia N73 is a great combination between a multimedia phone and a photographer-level digital camera. Might be worth to wait since it’ll be release soon on July 2006. And incase you forget, it will available in three flavours - silver grey/deep plum, frost white/metallic red and frost white/mocha brown.
