Another highlighted laptop at IBM / Lenovo’s stand at Mega Bazaar Computer (MBC) 2006 is the ThinkPad R52 (1860BZA) that comes with a handy fingerprint reader for improved security. It is powered by an Intel Centrino Mobile Technology (Pentium M 750 at 1.86GHz with 2MB L2 cache and 533Mhz FSB), Intel 915GM chipset, Intel Wireless 2200 LAN 802.11b/g for WiFI connectivity, 512MB of PC4200 (533Mhz) DDR2 SDRAM, and 40GB of hard drive with Active Protection System. For the display, it has an Intel Extreme Graphics 900 with 128MB shared system memory that delivers graphics to the 15-inch TFT LCD with 1024 x 768 maximum resolution.

Weighs 3 kg, IBM’s ThinkPad R52 laptop is also equipped with Firewire, Infrared, DVD/CD-RW combo drive, Gigabit Ethernet, and high-speed 56K modem. No Bluetooth though.
