Sony Bravia S Series LCD TVWe’ve mentioned this S Series of Sony’s Bravia LCD TV line-up last month, but it was only a brief information at that time. So, here goes the detail.

Sony Bravia S Series is the next generation of LCD TV that features a landmark combination of Sony image processing and screen technologies designed to set a new standard for the viewing experience. It offers key advantages over standard screens with its vivid and high-contrast images, thanks to the complex noise reduction techniques that enhance low contrast images until they are crisp and realistic, and process blues, greens and whites within each frame to generate the richness and colour accuracy that set BRAVIA TVs apart.

Incorporated with advanced S-PVA (Super Patterned Vertical Alignment) technology, it extends the viewing angle to a full 178 degrees for a superior wide-angle viewing. Either from the front side or the left/right side, you can always see a rich and bright color on this LCD TV.

As for the sound, Bravia’s S Series LCD TV uses SRS TruSurround XT technology that produces rich, immersive, surround sound audio from its integrated stereo speakers. Work along is the BBE Digital audio enhancement that ensures absolute clarity for dialogue and ambient sound effects alike.

Other key features are HD-ready (support both 1080i and 720p signals), 1366×768 resolution, 500cd/m2 brightness, 1200:1 contrast ratio, integrated Digital TV tuner for free-to-air digital TV channels (DVB-T MPEG2 digital terrestrial broadcast channels), HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) input for accepting uncompressed digital AV signals from an external source such as an HDTV set-top box, and an additional HD15 input that provides full PC compatibility.

Sony Bravia S Series LCD TV is available in 6 size variants: 20-inch, 23-inch, 26-inch, 32-inch, 40-inch, and 46-inch.
