Samsung yesterday announced their mobile TV phone for the European market, the SGH-P900. Eventhough it’s just a copy of their Korean T-DMB (Terrestrial Digital Media Broadcasting) phone, the SGH-P900 is the first one to come in Europe. It comes with a 2 megapixel camera module, MP3 player capability (which makes it more like a PMP device), and 2.2-inch QVGA (240×320) 262K colors TFT LCD screen where you can watch your favourite TV programme, or even the FIFA World Cup 2006 event. At least you don’t have to buy the Qosmio Q30 to get a free ticket for that big soccer match. This cell phone is operated under GSM (900/1800/1900) network with GPRS and EDGE support.
Other features include video recording and messaging (MPEG4 / H.263 / H.264), video streaming, AAC and AAC+ audio files playback, dual speaker, digital power amp, external music key, bluetooth / USB / PictBridge connectivity, 128MB onboard memory and microSD card slot for additional storage. Samsung SGH-P900 Cell Phone measures 94.5 x 47.5 x 26.mm and weighs 124 grams.
