Here’s the Excentrique Edition of MP-500, a portable media player (PMP) from Jens of Sweden, that comes in 24k gold backside.
Aside from the gold edition, the player itself features a 1.6-inch 260k colors TFT LCD screen, integrated stereo speakers, FM radio tuner with 24 automatically-set stations, built-in microphone, clock, and USB 2.0 connectivity. For the audio playback, this PMP supports MP3, WMA, and OGG Vorbis files; while for the video, it supports MP4, WMV, ASF, MPG, and MPEG files.
The MP-500 PMP uses a Lithium Polymer battery that provides up to 15.5 hours of audio and 8 hours of video playback. Measures 81 x 40 x 13 mm and weighs 51 grams, two capacity variants are available, 1GB ($190) and 2GB ($243). The goldie Excentrique Edition itself will be released on February 7th for $275.
