Asus Dual Core LaptopsAsustek Computer Inc., or mostly known as Asus, recently launched five laptop series based on the Duo-Centrino (Dual Core CPU) platform - W2J, A7J, W5F, A6J, and V6J. These laptop series boast higher perfomance for multitasking, longer battery supply, and better power management. No detail specs yet, but let’s take a look at the main features on each series.

The Asus W2J and A7J laptops aimed for high-end entertainment usage, with the built-in DVB-T (digital TV) feature that offer wireless digital reception everywhere. Well, as long as the service is available on the area. Uses will be able to catch live TV shows directly from their notebook, thus providing complete digital entertainment experience.

For the portable audio / video communication, Asus present the W5F and A6J notebook series. Both come with integrated microphone and webcam that allow users to do video conferencing with their family, friends, or office mate easily without having to connect additional external device. The webcam module in the W5F laptop has 1.3 megapixel CCD and can be swiveled 180 degrees. The W5F also comes with an exclusive LiteFrame software and has achieved 2006 International CES Innovations Design and Engineering Award.

The last one is the V6J series. This ultra slim 15-inch laptop is mainly for those whose looking for a (very) portable and fashionable notebook. With its sleek and elegant design, the V6J has won Japan’s G-Mark, Germany’s RedDot and iF design awards.
