Remember the Optimus Keyboard from Art.Lebedev Studio? It’s a keyboard with a 32×32 pixel Organic Light-Emitting Diodes (OLEDs) display on every single keys. It means, every keys on this keyboard has its own tiny monitor / video screen that able to display any icon or symbol - instantly. Of course this would be a very interesting keyboard, as you can easily type in any languages (in non-standard alphabetic letters), play games with dedicated keyboard’s keys, and so on. The keyboard itself is OS independent, which mean, changing the icons is just like changing your desktop you can assign for eg the space bar can have any image you want. Cool, isn’t it?
We’ve mentioned - in our previous post about this keyboard - that the Moscow-based manufacturer will release the Optimus Keyboard this year. Well, we have a possible exact date right now, it’s February 1st, 2006. The price is £200 or around $350, and it will have an aluminium case and polycarbonate keys.
